THE JOURNEY: Walk of Fame Films© is an independant film group whose work focuses on REAL people with unimaginable stories. It is these people whose stories make up America's backbone. "Voices in the Sand" has been in the works for more than three years with filming on location in Los Angeles and in New York, with countless spectacular interviews. With more than 30 hours of film in production broken into two parts, the last segment three years later will focus on Chief Keetoowah, Venice Beach iconic Artist, Enzo, and then we will take you into the world of love and what some think may think hate, as we interview a few men raised around California's Hells Angels. Daring, adventurous, and open to change from different perspectives, Professor O'Connell has experienced more than 2,300 hours with the homeless, going homeless himself on the mean and unforgiving streets of Los Angeles. Voices in the Sand will take viewers into the vicious underbelly of homelessness in America with Professor O'Connell learning that there is both sadness and happiness in our homeless. But, what does this mean? In addition to the many people projects, WOF has a new piece titled "Touched by People," a story about life, love, hate, torture, dreams shattered, and rising up to success in America and the cycle of transformation we as Americans face every day. In other words common people who make an extraordinary difference. The story features Stanley, an incredible up and coming musician whose life was stellar until he was severely tortured by a Cult in a foriegn land. Then you'll meet Mary, a woman who tells her tragic story for the first time in 68 years from Italy and she selects Professor O'Connell to tell her story to as the allied bombing campaign in Italy killed her mother and father in one minute. Then, the story about America's forgotten Olympians whose team was pulled from the 1980 summer games features former world champion swimmer, Greg Jagenburg. Finally, you will learn the unimaginable story of New York Yankees Executive, Ray Negron, caught by Yankees late owner George Steinbrenner spray painting Yankee Stadium. Negron goes on to produce the New York Yankees first animated movie, "Henry & Me" and he becomes a three time New York Times Best Selling Author with incredible stories that make for an exciting, informative, and captivating story. Professor O'Connell has more than 14 years experience in News as a former TV Reporter, journalist, and worldwide best selling-author, which means, he knows how to tell the story with integrity, precision and his special ability to get people to talk freely in sharing their emotional experiences.
Based on the best-selling book Homeless in Paradise Communicating with the Bohemian Venice Beach CA Subculture, this film has been in the making for three years which ultimately leads Professor O'Connell being hired by popular Bristish Actor Russell Brand for Brand's upcoming documentary film called "Russell's Happy Project." O'Connell's film takes viewers into the underbelly of homelessness with stories about a woman arrested more than 200 times, caught up in the vortex of self destruction and a life filled with tragedy, a Vietnam Veteran struggling to find his existence, a former self-proclaimed porn star, an iconic starving artist who won't give up on his dream, a man born to a 14 year old mother, spends 10 years in prison and becomes an author and transforms his life, and finally Professor O'Connell goes homeless himself with a complete stranger who was gang raped by twenty men in a story you will never forget!
